lattice is a technocultural non-profit organisation founded by Alexandra Gilliams and Malene Hagen, working across the entanglements of contemporary art, technology, and politics. It operates as a curatorial-research platform and community in-formation, supporting critical emerging artistic production through exhibitions, symposia, publications, and experimental formats.

We seek to gather a situated community in Paris, collectively attuned to the urgencies of the contemporary present and capable of becoming response-able together. In order to critically respond to the shifting here-now-constellations, we must first learn to attend and attune to them accordingly. lattice therefore unfolds as a processual structure, informed by Simondon’s logic of individuation through phase-shift rather than by a fully fixed model implemented at the outset.

Projects, collaborations, and encounters populating the pre-existing structure transform it. As a crystal forming layer by layer through contact, each phase produces the conditions for the next, re-configuring the field of possible relations from which subsequent formations emerge. lattice therefore learns by doing, names its formations retrospectively, and remains open to transformation through collective practice.

lattice is a crystalline structure in-formation that individuates through contact, continually re-in-forming as new intensities (projects, collaborations, etc.) intra-act with it. In doing so, lattice crystallises the conflicting relations of the present into constellations that become legible.
